Medical Insurance

Provides inpatient and outpatient medical coverage for employees and their dependents. Often includes maternity, dental, optical, and chronic illness cover. Some plans also offer wellness benefits and access to a wide hospital network.

Life Insurance

Covers employees in the event of death (natural or accidental). The benefit is usually a multiple of the employee’s annual salary and is paid to the nominated beneficiaries.

Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance

Offers compensation in case of accidental death, permanent disability, or temporary total disability. It may also include medical expense reimbursement and funeral benefits.

Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) Insurance

A statutory requirement in Kenya, this covers employees for injuries, disability, or death arising out of and in the course of employment. Benefits include compensation for medical expenses, funeral costs, and up to 96 months’ salary for permanent disability or death.

Group Critical Illness Cover

Provides a lump sum payout if an employee is diagnosed with a covered critical illness such as cancer, heart attack, or stroke. This helps with treatment costs and financial stability during recovery.

Group Credit Life Insurance

Protects employers or lenders by covering outstanding loans in the event of an employee’s death or disability. Common in organizations offering staff loans or SACCOs.
